The Discovery Pyramid holds two adventures under one glass roof. Upstairs, the Galveston Children's Museum, now open daily, fills the gallery with hands-on STEM exhibits, imaginative play and maker activities inspired by Galveston Island. Downstairs, the Audience Recognition Theater puts your whole family on the crew of the Nautilus in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: An Interactive Adventure.

A fixture of Island life since 2014, the museum built every exhibit for this space, with hands-on STEM, imaginative play and maker activities drawn from Galveston's coastal heritage, maritime history and arts community. Read the announcement.
Open daily during Moody Gardens attraction hours, with 9 to 10 AM reserved for museum members. Admission is included with your Moody Gardens ticket.
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: An Interactive Adventure
Audience Recognition Theater
Step aboard 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: An Interactive Adventure in Moody Gardens’ Discovery Pyramid and join a high-tech submarine voyage filled with extraordinary sea life and breathtaking destinations. Created in partnership with Super 78, this immersive experience invites guests to become part of the crew led by Deep, a robotically-enhanced pufferfish, alongside helper robots Echo and Torque.
Along the way, guests help operate the ship, choose its course, and interact with marine creatures as The Nautilus travels to coral reefs, Antarctic ice caves, an ancient lost city, undersea volcanoes, and more, brought to life with stunning 3D visuals and thrilling 4D sensory effects.
