From scouting activities and Learn Live! programs inside the Aquarium Pyramid to trade shows, conferences and hybrid meetings at our hotel and convention center, every venue is built to flex around the event you're planning.
Hotel & Convention Center Venues
103,000 square feet of ballroom-quality space — trade shows, galas, and general sessions with 428 hotel rooms upstairs. And they pair beautifully with the attraction venues below for receptions and offsites without ever leaving the property.

Ideal for large events in Galveston, the Expo Hall at Moody Gardens Convention Center offers 60,000 square feet of versatile ballroom and exhibit space designed for trade shows, competitions, athletic events, and elegant galas.
The space can be divided into five rooms and features floor boxes every 10 feet with electric, water, air, telephone, and internet connections. Telescopic seating and a total capacity of up to 7,000 provide flexibility for a wide range of event formats. Convenient amenities include ample free parking, drive-in ramps, and loading docks on both the east and west ends of the center.
When not in use, telescopic seating and loading areas are discreetly concealed with mesh draping and movable walls.
The Frances Anne Moody Ballroom
This venue offers 15,180 square feet of flexible event space, highlighted by soaring ceilings and elegant Lalique chandeliers that create a stunning backdrop for conferences, luncheons, and formal events. Designed for optimal functionality, the space can be divided into eight rooms or kept intact for an elegant soirée.
The Floral Ballroom
This venue overlooks Offatts Bayou, offering scenic waterfront views in a private second floor setting removed from general guest traffic. With 9,100 square feet of flexible event space that can be divided into 12 meeting rooms, it is well suited for conferences, meetings, and private events. The refined décor creates an energetic yet refreshing atmosphere ideal for productive gatherings.

Inside the Visitor Center, the Garden Lobby opens up into a bright, spacious setting for mixers, vendor showcases, receptions and seated or standing gatherings. A soaring glass ceiling fills the space with natural light, the Giant Otter exhibit gives guests something to gather around, and the MG3D Theater and Garden Restaurant sit just steps away for an easy add-on to your program.
MG 3D Theater
With state-of-the-art sound and presentation capabilities, this 400-seat theater books privately for screenings of our films or your own content, whether that's a product launch, a training session, an annual meeting or a night out for your team. Wi-Fi and full audio visual support are on hand to match whatever your program calls for.
Palm Beach Parties
Birthday parties, reunions, corporate luaus, team building events and vow renewals all find a home at Palm Beach. White sand, swaying palms and Gulf breezes set the scene from May through early September, giving your group a true island backdrop without leaving Galveston.
Garden Parties
Take your event outdoors on beautiful Galveston Island. Our garden spaces host corporate functions, church picnics, family reunions, fundraisers and celebrations of every size, with room to spread out under open sky and Gulf breezes.
