Event Venues at Moody Gardens

From scouting activities and Learn Live! Education Programs at the Aquarium Pyramid to trade shows, conferences, and virtual meetings at our hotel and convention center, Moody Gardens provides versatile venues designed to meet your needs.
The Floral Ballroom
This venue overlooks Offatts Bayou, offering scenic waterfront views in a private second floor setting removed from general guest traffic. With 9,100 square feet of flexible event space that can be divided into 12 meeting rooms, it is well suited for conferences, meetings, and private events. The refined décor creates an energetic yet refreshing atmosphere ideal for productive gatherings.
The Expo Hall, Moody Gardens Convention Center
Ideal for large events in Galveston, the Expo Hall offers 60,000 square feet of versatile ballroom and exhibit space designed for trade shows, competitions, athletic events, and elegant galas.
The space can be divided into five rooms and features floor boxes every 10 feet with electric, water, air, telephone, and internet connections. Telescopic seating and a total capacity of up to 7,000 provide flexibility for a wide range of event formats. Convenient amenities include ample free parking, drive-in ramps, and loading docks on both the east and west ends of the center.
When not in use, telescopic seating and loading areas are discreetly concealed with mesh draping and movable walls.
The Frances Anne Moody Ballroom
This venue offers 15,180 square feet of flexible event space, highlighted by soaring ceilings and elegant Lalique chandeliers that create a stunning backdrop for conferences, luncheons, and formal events. Designed for optimal functionality, the space can be divided into eight rooms or kept intact for an elegant soirée.

The Garden Lobby
The Garden Lobby located inside the Visitor's Center offers a spacious indoor area for mixers, vendor areas, seated or standing room gatherings. The lobby has a tall, glass ceiling with views of the Giant Otter exhibit and is next to the MG3D Theater and the Garden Restaurant.
Aquarium Pyramid
Make some waves with your next event! Whether it's Uncle Jim's birthday party in the Coral Room, a kid's sleepover in the Pompano Room or a large private reception that utilizes the entire Aquarium Pyramid, this unique venue offers a memorable setting that is teeming with thousands of tropical fish, sharks, seals, a beautiful jellyish gallery and event penguins to make your event truly special.

MG 3D Theater
Offering state-of-the art sound and presentation capabilities, this 400-seat theater is available for private bookings for private screenings featuring our films or your own video for business or pleasure. This space can be used for corporate presentations with wi-fi and other audio visual assistance available to suit your needs.
